It's what we call the Rolling Effect. Fulcrum Technology provides: Balanced Cushioning, Increased Support, More Energy. The Ikoni has a half-length fulcrum for flexible forefoot.
OrtixFit shapes your mid sole and upper volumes using data directly collected from over 4 Million runner's feet. What started in 2018 with the launch of the Karhu Ikoni the 1st model shaped by ORTIX, we now offer all our footwear models with our ORTIX Fit, based on actual scanning data in regular, HiVo (more volume) and Hera (women specific) Fit volumes. Really comfortable even with a torn 5th metatarsal
These are my second pair in a year as I have lived in first after severely damaging my foot last year.. I was recommended to try them by podiatrist after I stopped wearing air boot and crutches and physio agreed with my choice. I find the first pair so comfortable I wanted a second pair to wear indoors whilst my foot still recovering.
I was told when buying first pair to go up a size in shop so when I ordered on line this time I knew what size to order.

Really comfortable shoe. I have a fairly narrow foot and this show made my heel and mid-foot feel very supported, and there was also enough space in the toe box.
I went up 1-1.5 sizes compared to my leisure shoes. I was fitted in a store, so it wasn't an issue but maybe keep in mind when ordering online.

Love this running shoe! Ikoni 2
It’s my first pair of Karhu running shoes and must say I am so impressed. They are super light weight but with wonderful support to my high arches. And they are beautiful, love the detail on the laces as well.
