The Secret Capital of EGS is a multiform artwork by EGS and Amos Rex. The work explores what layers and memories the city conceals, which traces have been erased, and to whom the city’s narrative truly belongs.

At the heart of the project is a map that transforms Helsinki into an alternative exhibition to be explored on foot. The same map appears on the limited-edition KARHU x EGS T-shirt, turning it into a wearable map of the Secret Capital - an invitation to walk, explore, and see Helsinki differently.

EGS (b. 1974) is a contemporary Finnish artist whose practice is rooted in graffiti. These three letters have since become the foundation of a multidisciplinary practice exploring identity, history, place, and movement.
